It is my great pleasure to invite you to the Second Central European Symposium on Radiation Oncology: Technological and Biological Sunrise for Radiation Oncology (CESORO-2), which will be held in Kraków, Poland, on May 8-9, 2015 at the Institute of Nuclear Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences (IFJ PAN). The aim of this multidisciplinary symposium is to provide researchers and professionals with a forum to discuss current progress in radiation oncology, clinical radiobiology and dosimetry. The First CESORO conference took place in Gliwice, Poland, in June 2014 and was highly successful, gathering over 120 oncologists, biologists and medical physicists from many European countries and the USA.
By now, invitations to our Symposium have been kindly accepted by over 30 Invited Speakers from Europe, USA and Poland, representing prestigious oncology clinics, universities and research centres.
One of the themes of the Symposium is proton therapy. Participants will have an opportunity to visit our new proton therapy centre at IFJ PAN, which begins its clinical operation in 2015, further extending our on-going proton beam treatment of ocular oncology patients of the University Hospital in Kraków.
I am looking forward to welcoming you in Kraków!
